Why use Simplified Fair Pricing? Set prices for specific services is seldom fair to you or to the service provider. It’s a bit like cell phone minutes where you might pay for 500 minutes but only use 300 of them. It also works in reverse, you pay for 500 minutes but you actually used 600 minutes, so there is a huge additional charge. In either of these cases, it pretty easy to see who is benefiting from that pricing structure.
For Example: Experience has shown that removing viruses from a system can take anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours depending on the number and type of viruses found on the system. At some point, it is quicker to backup the data and completely reinstall the operating system, the applications, and the data. The end result is typically much better than simply removing viruses. If however, there are just a few minor virus problems, it’s better and cheaper to just remove the problem viruses. It’s clear that a one-price-fits-all doesn’t work for this. So what is fair pricing? To be fair, someone needs to diagnose the system, determine what needs to be done and how long it will take. Only then can a fair charge be set for the service. At Mike’s PC Services, we provide free in-shop problem diagnosis (onsite diagnosis for $59), give you a repair quote, and there is never any obligation to have the repairs done by Mike’s PC Services. |
